Our stewardship campaign comes at a time of transition on many levels for St. Mary’s. The search for a new rector is obviously top of mind for everyone in our congregation. But as important is the growth we’ve seen in the congregation - particularly younger families. We have the opportunity to embrace this change and provide St. Mary’s with the resources to expand our ministries with our growth.
In this transition, we also celebrate. We celebrate the calling of Rev. Nancy Cox as our interim rector to help guide us during this time. We celebrate our strength in Christ that is the core of why we are here. We celebrate the connection the members of St. Mary’s embody in our interactions and the welcoming spirit visitors feel when enter our doors.
Your pledge has particular impact this year. The 2026 Budget will need to fund the search for the new rector which can include travel and other expenses. Moreover, our ability to exhibit an operational budget to support robust ministries which makes us a desirable parish.
Yes, the future of the parish will be led by a new rector but, ultimately, the success will be dependent upon each one of us to continue giving of our time and talents and monetary resources to fulfill our potential as a parish.
